For instance, deciding on our name:
I am now Mrs. Merlo. Or, Mrs. Aguilera. Or Mrs. Merlo Aguilera. Ok, so we haven't figured it out yet. Hondurans generally have four names, Americans three. What am I to do??? His first last name is Merlo, the more important one. In the US they always use the last name in the long line of names - which would be Aguilera, the less important one. He wants to be Merlo, but most people call him Aguilera. How do I go about changing my name when we're not sure which name he's gonna end up with???
I've decided to wait. I'll change my name after all his immigration forms go through and the US government has decided which name they'd like him to have. I wish the US would get on board and have an easy solution to this problem - at least let us pick which name we want.
Ugg, what a pain.
But I do have some Honeymoon photos for you lovely people. Wedding photos aren't back yet, but we snapped a few photos of us in Hershey, PA.
Our rose petal turn-down
Our romantic champagne and strawberries
Mini-golf tourney - he won, maybe it's
because of how serious he's taking it....
At Chocolate World - lots of fun!
And of course - we had to find ourselves a big
Hershey Kiss!!!
Caongratulations Kattrina! You are right ... there will be lots to blog about as a newly married couple - cultural differences aside! Hope your big day was everything you wanted it to be, and my warmest wishes to you and Ivan.
